Make sure you get back as soon as possible to keep the good fight against the HST going strong.

What the hell for? That's for VanderZalm to do.

Bill needs a vacation, like all of us.

Have a bit of a holiday too, Bill. You are always on the mark, here in B.C. and you deserve a breather between the intensity moments.
Take care!

I visited Chicago a few years ago and was blown away by the incredible architecture and street layout. I have a book about Chicago and the birth of urban planning that I can loan you when you get back.

Back to reality here in sort of weird BC.
Our grand kid, two degrees, a teacher, world class athlete in two sports, well traveled and her other half was over for Fathers Day yesterday. When asked about the HST ballot, they almost blew off our socks when they said. Oh now that the rate has gone down to ten percent we will vote to keep the HST. We reminded them that the rate has not gone down yet, may never go down and even if it did, it would still cost them more that if reverted to GST and PST. Their minds finally clicked in and they are now ready to vote "yes" to rid themselves of the HST. If motivated well educated, young adults can be so easily led, its up to others to sort them out.
The short answer is, the PR being spread with our money is affecting some folks, and we must remind our friends that they should really understand who is conning whom and who is paying for the conning. End of sermon.

Hi all - got stuck in Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport overnight on a mat on the floor! Severe thunderstorms and tornado watch stopped us from continuing on to Vancouver and there were no hotels available for 26 miles.

380 flights from Chicago's two airports were cancelled and 300,000 people there were without power after an incredible lightning, wind and thunder storm - for 2 hours no flights left the windy city.

Glad to be home safe and sound, if late and very tired on Wednesday afternoon!

WHAT IS THIS???
Mr. Campbell has just been appointed(rhymes with annointed) by Mr. Harper to be the next High Commissioner to Britain ??? What's that all about?
This is in the face of 700,000 B.C. citizen overburdened taxpayers calling out Mr. Campbell on the denying the HST then immediately after the election full steam ahead to set it up and blanket the whole consumer heartland, mainland and island with almost every commodity item not nailed down as essential. (Even some essentials are now "super taxed")Of course there were other reasons Mr. Campbell was "railroaded" out of office, as well!

I find it an easy assumption that Mr. Harper will continue to swiftly put the 60% of the voters who didn't vote conservative in the last federal election, squarely in their place with such public wraps on the collective knuckles.

Hey Bill, when in the flying business we had an expression. "Time to spare, go by air." You spent the night on the floor, we had to hear how that great man, convicted drunk and most despised BC politician will be flying between Zurich and London quite a lot and sadly as our representative. The mind boggles at such news

The mind boggles as to why certain people keep bringing up Campbell and his drunk driving conviction.

It's in the past and the NDP should have won the 2005 election, and the 2009 election, but didn't.

Good for Gordon Campbell. Better choice than the useless Carol James. If seniors like DPL don't like it, it must be good and I'm happy. It will be funny when the anti-HST loses its fight. We'll hear more crying from DPL. There are still people out there that think voting No means no to HST. Life cam't get any better.

Hey folks, I wouldn't want either James or Campbell getting that cushy job. They are both failed politician, but if James runs again and wins, that's OK too. If Gordo tried to run again, he would be run out of town on a rail, after a tar and feathered party.I may be a new senior but I can understand that a drunk driving conviction had it been in this country would have meant, Gordo would have been pushed out years earlier and the province wouldn't be in the mess that he left. I don't figure my age is all that important on this subject. Bill like many other folks slept on a floor in an airport which makes him a better person. Gordo, the convicted drunk would have had a limo take his to the most expensive place in the state, and you would pay, not Gordo. It shouldn't take the Brits very long to figure out the guy is a jerk. Next we will hear he might try to buy a Lordship.
