Joyce Murray's name was mentioned twice on your program with Alex Tsakumis. I thought you might like to know that Joyce is hosting a Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, July 8, at 7pm at the Hellenic Centre 4500 Arbutus St. It would be an exceellent opportunity for you and/or your friend Mr Tsakumis to question her about the Green Shift and the Carbon Tax.

You and Tsakumis were fantastic. That was the best review of the carbon tax I've heard yet. I liked the way you and Tsakumis talked with each other. It was really informative.

I was one of the approximately 40people who attended Joyce Murray's Town Hall Meeting. Basically what happened was that Joyce, along with 2 SFU professors, Aiden Vining and John Richards explained the Liberals Green Shift policy, including the new Carbon Tax. The Carbon tax will not tax gasoline, but will tax heating oil, coal, natural gas etc. Its supposed to be revenue neutral, which means the money it generates will be payed back to the taxpayer via tax cuts as well as incentives for green industries like those researching alternative power. After the presentation, there was a brief question and answer session.
