Best wishes to Bill Good - retiring from The Bill Good Show today! Thanks for a great program over many years!

Bill Good and Bill Tieleman in studio last week.
Congratulations to Bill Good, who is today broadcasting his last show on CKNW AM 980 after a long and distinguished career on radio and also on television.

I have had the pleasure of being a guest on The Bill Good Show for over 20 years, including 5 years as a regular political commentator each week on the Monday Morning Quarterbacks panel on federal politics and more with Norman Spector.

Bill Good is exceedingly fair, willing to listen to both sides and - importantly to me - always open to hearing from unions - members and leaders.

Best wishes to Bill, his wife Georgie and his family as he starts a new chapter of his life and doesn't have to get up early every weekday morning!

Not exactly fair, a bit wimpy. Did not be decisive on many important issues.

Remember too Bill Good was part of the hated MSM, and anyone who hates the MSM but still listen, read and watch are hypocrites.

In fact one could say you were part of the MSM yourself since you allowed yourself to be a part of it even though it was only for a so-called "debate" show put on to gain audience share.

CKNW used to be great but it's slid down big time in the past 20 years.

Like the guy or not, he is retiring so let's not bring up points you didn't like and remember he spent a long time at the mic. Our family wish him well in his retirement years. Now he can phone in and stir the pot, subject at hand

Sure. Remember he was a member of the MSM which has been repeatly hated by many bloggers many on The Left such as many contributors here and I do recall that many contirbutors here had written alot against MSM as a whole which included Bill Good. But there's the freedom to do so, but wishing someone well in retirement from MSM, the very same one that has been loathed by many including many contributors here is a bit being hypocritical.

Good will not phone in and stir the pot.

He has better things to do.

Like enjoy his retirement from the cesspool which is BC politics.

Bill Good's "retirement" ?

Couldnt have anything to do with his dismal ratings could it?

I wont shed any tears

Good is gone. 5 years overdue. Perhaps now I will attempt once again to listen to NW in the morning during my commute....Now for the rest of the compliant media hacks at the "once great" 'NW......Philip Till comes to mind

Contributors to left wing blogs such as this one, and The Tyee hate the MSM, and should never ever listen to any of the MSM. The truth and only truth and accurate reporting is through these left wing blogs. Nothing else is worth reading, remember.

Get with the program to be in compliant as a left wing contributor.

Hello Bill
I just read your good comment on Mr. Good. I am disgusted with the Anonymouses that suggest bad things regarding a good man. Sorry I must go but will type more in the future as in near.

Bill Good has a long career, what happens is that many on the Left hate MSM, and Bill Good was very much a part of the MSM, so it is hypocrisy for those on the Left to continually pile praise on someone who was very much a part of the MSM. Few people here for instance would have been supportive of Bill Good when he supported the 2010 Olympics.

Now I have added my first comment as to Mr. Good. I can see no reason to add more. I will state that I wish him and his companion the best in the future. Thank you Mr. Tieleman for being a first class gentleman.

It's entirely unethical to use money forcibly taken from (involuntary) taxpayers to subsidize the daycare needs of other, private individuals to begin with.

Any savings from any successful suspension of government schooling should be handed back to their owners via a direct dollar-for-dollar tax cut.

And doing so would have more directly linked (in the public mind) the funds saved with the pocketbooks of taxpayers, too.

There would have been much legitimate political capital to gain had they thought this through...
