The title is correct. Glen Clark used to hate successful business people such as Jimmy Pattison, to the same degree that left wingers on this blog are continually hating people who want to succeed and want to be positive.

Imagine if Glen Clark went the other way to a whiny left wing organisation that is perpetually miserable all the time.

I despise big business too. Harper gives, banks, mines, large company's and gas and oil corporations, billions of our tax dollars. He also gives them huge tax reductions. This was seen on, the House of Commons TV channel. Harper now does his dastardly deeds, behind closed doors.

I won't even bother with Campbell, he has the dirtiest, most corrupt and foul political record in Canadian history. Campbell fits right in with, Harper the Reformer.

The Campbell/Clark BC Liberals are the worst corrupt party, in this nations recorded history.

Glen Clark will be fresh air, compared to the stench of the others, named above.

I'm a huge fan of WAC Bennett, Abraham Lincoln, REAL Tories and other patriots. Gordon Campbell and his ilk can rot.

It's just crazy to accuse everyone on the "left" as "hating success". Nor does labour or do labour leaders.

Well, there are a few haters out on the fringe, both left and right. But the hater here appears to me to be the author of the first post, who is apparently afraid to give his name.

I'm active in what passes for the "left" in B.C. and I believe in mixed market capitalism. I don't hate any successful people and I say more power to them.

The real difference is between those (both on the right and the left) who believe that for every winner there must be a loser, and those of us who understand that we can arrange things so that everyone wins.

Sounds like one of those Occupy supporters.

So if you hate all that stuff, remove your bank account (Credit Unions such as VanCity rely on the banking system too).

Forget tanking up your car (gas).

So what did the federal Liberals give us?

A massive migraine that still hasn't gone away.

Yeah, sure Ed. Just like in school.
I work hard to earn a "A", study, do the research, and some idiot who spends more time looking at fast car magazines and fast car blogs than studying earns a "D". So the teacher decides he needs to "arrange things so that everyone wins, and takes off some my grade of "A" to give it to the lazy guy with the fast car magaines so he gets a "C"
and I end up with a reduced grade of "C+". So in essence my grade is reduced despite long hours of studying, and really getting into the subject..

Would you really want that happening to you?

Didn't think so.

Why do you think Clark went with the opportunity with Pattison and not back to the union for which he was a business agent?

There are many Cadillac Socialists out there who talk the talk but don't do the walk.

The attacks are coming at us hot and heavy , and even before the articles are made public. It must bother them that a ex NDP BC Premier can raise rather rapidly to run large sections of Jimmy Patterson's companies. But then again, maybe they are simply jealous that Patterson didn't give them a job somewhere down the chain.

Guess DPL didn't get his job within the Pattison Group. No need for a sign washer.

According to the Liberals, the NDP, particularily an ex-NDP premier, couldn't run a hot dog stand. Was that Christy Clark who said that?

Glen Clark's success story puts that to rest. What poor timing to slam Glen clark's then-advisor (Dix) with negative ads at the same time the Clark-Pattison story is running on TV. Dix should be proud to be so associated.

I remember back in the day I became tops in sales presentations at Ford Canada only 18 months into my new carrier.
And moved on to internet auto sales and pinicled country wide selling automobiles on the net Since my 2007 accident I have not worked though if Glenn Clark can formulate this kind of come back
Then I need help to get hold of these two Characters in business And close my last deal for life While icreasing over all sales in Jimmy's empire regarding automobiles by 10 percent anually.

No it was originally WAC and later Bill Bennett, and he was correct abut the NDP at the time. The NDP was too busy legislating BC to death (1972-1975), and constantly coming up with empty head ideas about forcing public ownership on practically everything (Ocean Falls, even Dunhil Developments of which Harcourt got his "start" in business outside of being a lawyer).

"Glen Clark's success story puts that to rest. What poor timing to slam Glen clark's then-advisor (Dix) with negative ads at the same time the Clark-Pattison story is running on TV. Dix should be proud to be so associated."

Dix had nothing to do with getting Glen Cark a job with Pattison.

Doesn't prove anything as to the business performance of the NDP.

Clark saw the advantage and took it. He obviously knows an opportunity and was eager to learn business (unlike a few NDP has beens at the time Clark was Premier).

Woner what 'carrier' that was? Greyhound? Voyeur Bus Lines?

I'm sure there's a lot boy position somewhere. DPL can scrub the plates and chrome while you do the body work.

How do you shut up a premiere that was illegally run out of office?

Everyone has a price - how much would it cost to shut you up? How do you fight this phenomenon?
