One too many tequias and marguritas. Niehter the NDP nor the BC Liberals have ever said they want to kill Recall and Initiative. If so, state specifically where in policy the NDP wants to do that.

The NDP brought in the legislation in the first place.

Kash Heed faces new breach of trust probe

Police allege Heed was part of an elaborate scheme that took his constituency office's furniture allowance to pay the campaign workers who created anti-NDP pamphlets.

Does this mean that you'll be leaving the NDP? If so, good riddance!

If the Libs or the NDP were so keen on removing the recall it would have been done before now. Mind you, the way it was set up was so it could never work. Now it's possible to make it work, so who knows what the government will do, with or without the interests of the average citizen might be

Is it true Sean Holman's wife works for the BC government?

That may partly explain why his Sunday radio sessions usually have at least 3 of 4 participants of Liberal heritage and his year-long slant on the NDP leadership.

Well Kash may be what is alleged but he is also a thorn in the mounties side.

Discredit those who we oppose RCMP tactics 101.

I'm suprised Bill isn't working Adrian Dix's campaign along with his buddy for a long tiem Gerry Scott.

Bill's talents would be great use to us in Mike Farnworth's campaign.

The political parties will always put their own interests ahead of the voters interests.
The federal liberal party are currently the most obvious and odious example in that they will not defeat the minority government to save Canada.

Here provincially the libs and ndp have created party membership and leadership rules to keep their little country clubs exclusively run by a select few.

Some form of proportional representation will not fix this but it will improve it and add some accountability and transparency that is sorely missed and required.

I see no obvious evidence to counter the perception that political parties do not have you’re interests at heart and are lying fuckers shilling for their backers, pensions, entitlements, ego’s and greed.

They speak to this matter of recall as elitists not as every person but as elitists with entitlement.

Boy, do we ever need a 3rd option in BC. The NDP sat silently by the last 10 years and let the Liberals sell our assets. Shame on both.
Better than another "party" I like the idea of a coalition of independents that are beholden to their constituents.
And all monies and/or benefits paid directly or indirectly to politicians must be publically reported on a regular basis.
Dreaming, I know. But if many chose to do this, wouldn' others have to follow or face suspicion for hiding such things?

Why should they want to kill it? It is practically unworkable. They will just leave well-enough alone.

With more options for the voter - and it is coming, things should improve a bit. Independent MLA's, BC Refed and BC Conservatives are looking at taking most of the votes away from both the NDP and the BC Liberals.

Going to be an interesting period - the next couple of years. Hhmmmmmmmmm
I wonder who will be the first group to form the new government - the BC Liberals are finished. You know,
Deliberatly dishonest and deceive !!!!

Thanks

Sure taking away those voters who would have voted for those lower level parties anyway. Take a look at the Conservatives and you have Randy White who cost a few seats in the 2004 federal election with not keeping his trap shut. THe BC Refed will need voter support to renew their rents at Telus telephone booths so they can have meetings.

The NDP will be the first gorup to form government.

Be here when it happens.

My feeling as a citizen of being completely disrespected only continues to grow. No wonder less and less people vote every time they have an opportunity!

No wonder we see examples of apathy and not wanting to get involved such as this.
