Just a note to let regular readers know that unfortunately I was not able to attend the Basi-Virk trial Tuesday. My colleagues Neal Hall of the Vancouver Sun and Keith Fraser of the Province and Mark Hume of the Globe and Mail, among others, have filed reports as linked here on continuing testimony of Martyn Brown, Premier Gordon Campbell's Chief of Staff.
And as always, BC Mary's The Legislature Raids blog always has the latest reports and comments on this case.
Of particular interest were Brown's comments about Patrick Kinsella, former BC Liberal election co-chair in 2001 and 2005, and why Kinsella had a $297,000 contract for services with BC Rail.

BC Mary is not at the helm of her blog, Kootcoot is.
"BC Mary at this time is of little value. I am trying to look after the Legislature Raids here and have access to the blog. However I do not monitor Mary's email, and at this time I don't even know if Mary is monitoring it on a very regular basis. Therefore if you care to submit anything for publication here on the front page at TLR, please e-mail it to kootcoot@hotmail.com. You can of course leave comments here at the Ledge Raids as usual, but I do check my own e-mail more frequently than I check the back end here to see if any comments need moderation - so e-mailing items to the address above is likely to result in quicker action on the item.
Any normal info is best submitted as plain text in the body of an email and any images, spreadsheets or other fancier format items can be attached (as an attachment) and I can then deal with them appropriately)
