You know the old saying, if you repeat something often enough you will start to believe it.

Oh, while you are repeating that to yourself, get some legal counsel as well.

The only blogger who has shown any restraint and appreciation for the facts is Bill Tieleman. For this he has our gratitude. It sounds very much like a threat and I'm surprised at this.

I'm not sure you'd call Vancouver Sun an "irresponsible blogger" but I'm sure you will recall that within hours of the police raid on the BC Legislature, The Sun took over its entire front page to ask "Twenty-seven questions" in big bold black print.

One of those questions was "Can we be assured that organized crime is not operating within the corridors of the BC Legislature" or words to that effect.

That's an absolutely legitimate question. What kind of brain-dead population would fail to wonder? what kind of lame newspaper would fail to ask the question?

What kind of citizen would sit placidly, hands folded, bags over heads, afraid to ask that question?

Most important: what kind of person would issue a threat if anybody raises this unanswered question again, concerning the function of our own government?

Where is democracy, justice, or free speech in that sort of scene?

.

.BC Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16597928683019021273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35935973.post-83317322515030062712008-11-28T16:18:00.000-08:002008-11-28T16:18:00.000-08:00I would love to hear from David Harris on this poi...I would love to hear from David Harris on this point. How can one have any faith at all when the RCMP act like the Key Stone Cops version of the Gestapo; the judges who seem to take orders from Walley Awful; and a sitting government that is mired so deep in the entire mess.

WE now live in one of the most corrupt and incompetent provinces in this confederation, which has been run by the lowest of the low for almost two decades.

I absolutely have no respect for the government, the legal system, the courts, the police, for no one as its every man for himself.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35935973.post-28902628350577892732008-11-27T21:19:00.000-08:002008-11-27T21:19:00.000-08:00Our ineffective elected opposition has failed us, ...Our ineffective elected opposition has failed us, our corrupt courts have betrayed us and our free press have shown us they themselves to be butt-kissing fools.

"A foul despot can only be be defeated by a righteous heart and the application of cold steel" . . . This shows a clear prejudice has occurred - there is no way around this. All the spinning in the world won't help them on this point.

I have always been leery and quite frankly concerned when irresponsible bloggers have been so cavalier and reckless when it came to "organized crime" and this case. Making linkages to notorious criminal figures and the accused in this case was and continues to be completely absurd and egregious! Something didn't smell right when this happened back in 2003 and it appears my suspicions (and those of a lot of people) were correct.

Those individuals that have used the term "organized crime" would be well advised to seek legal counsel immediately. Any lawyer worth his salt will advise the accused to pursue substantial legal damages to those bloggers that have been reckless - to say the least - with the facts.

Regards.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35935973.post-75236323513595847152008-11-27T20:37:00.000-08:002008-11-27T20:37:00.000-08:00WE live in interesting times.
